All these activities can be done according to the climate, mainly.

Skiing: Usually practiced from June until October, when winter in on the southern hemisphere. There are many ski stations around Santiago and further south. Colorado, La Parva and Valle Nevado are located only 60 kmts. from the capital, or close to an hour away. Rafting: Rafting is practiced in many rivers south of Chile, like the Bío Bío, Trancura and Petrohué rivers. These rivers are located between Temuco (700 kmts. south of Santiago) and the Puerto Montt area, which is the rainy part of the country. Staying from two to five days is very common, and the accommodations are done in some hotels, residentials or tents. As a tip, in these rivers, you can also practice the sports of kayak, canoeing or hydrospeed.

Mountain Climbing: Differents peaks can be accomplished for those who love this sport. Each of these hills are between the 5000 and 7000 meters of altitude, It is obvious that a good physical condition is a must.

All these expeditions involve a great amount of logistics and a team of professionals, which is reflected in the final price, so we recommend that you perform these trips in groups of 6 or more people, to lower the costs.

Further south, some of the programs offers great accommodations, circuits around the Torres del Paine National Park or near by Puerto Natales city, allows you to fish some Rainbow Trout or the Fario and Fontinally variety.

For those who dare to be brave, a circuit to Tierra del Fuego will make you experience great fishing trips in extreme conditions, In places where you will not see many people and accommodations to sleep will be in tents under the souther sky.

The fishing season in Chile starts on October 14th and closes on April 14th of each year.
